Do we have access to Oxford English Dictionary (OED) online?

Answer

The OED online is not included in the RCA's collection, but nearly all UK public libraries offer access. Some international libraries also offer access so if you are outside the UK it is best to check with your public library service.

If you are already a member of your local public library you can click on 'Sign in' on the OED homepage - https://www.oed.com/ - and enter your public library card number to gain access.

If you are not already a public library member, you can join Kensington and Chelsea libraries online here: https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/libraries/connect-library-community/join-library. After completing the online form, you will receive a library card number that you can immediately use to login to the OED.

Alternatively, you can look up your local service online - https://www.gov.uk/local-library-services.
